![]() ![]() In addition, I am a member of the Strategic planning committee for the department of neurosurgery, that was created to set goals and define strategies to make the department one of the best in the nation. I am a member of multiple committees including the cohort peer review committee, the Cambridge Operating room committee, the transfer Center oversight committee, compensation committee. In addition, I conduct clinical research and publish articles on regular basis. I am actively involved in research and I have been involved in many clinical trials throughout the years. #DR SHAMOON BAYLOR COLLEGE OF MEDICINE EMAIL SERIES#I give didactic lectures to the residents on regular basis, I have a monthly lecture series since 2012, and I organize skull base lab for cadaveric dissection every other year I was appointed associate residency program director in 2015, and residency program director in 2021. I am continuously involved in teaching, education, development and mentorship of medical students and neurosurgery residents. Ever since, I have been fully invested in patient care, education, research and administrative responsibilities. I joined the faculty at the University of Kansas, Department of Neurosurgery in 2012.
